The determination of the fine thermal structure of the solar corona is important to constrain the mechanisms which heat the corona. Hinode/XRT is able to collect images of the solar corona in different filters and to provide temperature diagnostics. We have devised a particular hardness ratio of the signal in the different filters which optimizes the quality of the signal and is good for diagnostics of the coronal thermal structure. The application to a coronal active region observed with the XRT on November 2006 in five filters shows a finely-resolved highly thermally structured corona. We also find evidence of interacting structures, and signatures of varying thermal structuring along the light of sight. |

In this work we investigate the thermal structure of a flare observed in November 2006 by Hinode/XRT. For this analysis we adopted a new technique which optimizes the use of five different filters, resulting in a good diagnostic of temperature and emission measure. |
